We also believe in having fun. We encourage a strong work-life balance at GingerMay. Whether it’s a team bonding event that is still going strong at 4am, an open-air summer viewing of an 80s classic, or an impromptu picnic in the park, the social committee always has a plan up its sleeve.
GingerMay is the epitome of everything a PR agency should be: personal, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile. Thanks to GingerMay’s extensive connections, we have experienced superb coverage in a number of prominent publications – including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and FT – as well as securing speaking slots at major industry events including Cannes Lions Innovation. I have no doubt GingerMay will continue to consistently achieve great results for OpenX.

Meet the GingerMay management team.
Victoria Usher : Managing Director
As Managing Director and founder of GingerMay, Victoria is the strategic driving force behind the business.
With a natural passion for PR and an intuitive understanding of communications, Victoria is an exceptionally approachable individual who is as happy writing a challenging white paper as she is rolling up her sleeves to pitch a press release.
Since establishing GingerMay in 2010, Victoria has developed a bespoke, personal, and untraditional approach to PR that provides clients with a meticulously detailed level of service.
From a background forged in politics – Victoria was a political researcher for two MPs at the Palace of Westminster – her career took a rather unconventional route from data analyst to global marketer to PR specialist. The skills Victoria developed, it transpired, were key to creating a flourishing challenger technology PR firm during the worst recession in living memory. She now shares her experiences and insight with developing entrepreneurs as a mentor in the Mayor’s International Business Programme for London & Partners.
An ex-dance instructor, Victoria hung up her heels in favour of the equally adrenaline-fuelled but less glam pastime of cross-country horse riding.
Kirsty Langan : Senior Account Director
Kirsty is a talented communicator with extensive technology, media, and advertising know-how.
She has worked in consumer and business-to-business PR for almost 20 years, providing valuable strategy guidance. With a network of high-level relationships across the gaming, TV, advertising, content production and technology industries, Kirsty provides in-depth insight on any area required by her clients.
Kirsty is a health fanatic and can be found pounding the pavements of London on an urban run, before winding down with the latest art-house releases at her local cinema.
Matthew Usher : Operations and Business Director
As Director of Operations and Business, Matthew is known as ‘The Fixer’ at GingerMay.
With a background in client facing roles for over twenty years, Matthew applies his versatile mind and skillset to a wide range of roles including head of IT, finance, SEO, and website development to help support the PR team. As GingerMay expands globally, Matthew spearheads the research and on-the-ground logistics as the company branches out to other markets.
Outside of work, Matthew is a competitive age-group athlete and frequently travels globally with Team GingerMay competing in IronMan and multi-sport races.
Karolina Throssell : Account Director
As a former journalist, Karolina is a skilled writer with a unique perspective of the media landscape. Her accurate understanding of what publications require makes her highly successful at selling-in article ideas, stories, and releases.
Ever the networker, Karolina has a range of influential contacts that range from the FT, Marketing and The Register, to specialist publications. She is passionate about PR’s ability to transform brands and deploys her insight, and creativity, to produce game-changing coverage for her clients.
In her spare time Karolina likes nothing more than losing herself in reading the latest thriller or catching up with friends over cocktails.
“Victoria and her team at GingerMay have supported us for several years with our growing PR and communications requirements. I have been impressed with the high calibre of their work, focus on measuring progress/return on investment, commitment to building a strong partnership with us and their flexibility to meet our fast-changing needs. They are a professional, personable and fun team to work with and we always enjoy our interactions. I would strongly recommend GingerMay’s services to anyone looking for a talented, creative and agile PR and comms agency.”
